Workers Party Honors Veterans on Remembrance Day, Advocates for Change

The Workers Party Veterans Group, elected councillors, and leadership commemorated Remembrance Day at events across Britain, notably in Birmingham and Rochdale, where our offices are based.

Remembering Sacrifice, Fighting for a Better Future

We honor those who served and recognize that war, as a continuation of politics through violent means, reflects the failures of a system we seek to transform. Our vision is clear: war must be eliminated through societal progress, achieved only by striving for socialism.

Support for Our Veterans

The Workers Party is committed to ensuring that veterans receive the care and support they deserve. Our policy includes:

  • Free medical care for service personnel injured in action, as long as needed.
  • Priority NHS access for injured veterans post-discharge.
  • Creating a fully-funded Veterans Administration if necessary.

Veterans should never have to rely on charity to secure their well-being. We urge ex-servicemen to join our Veterans Group as volunteers to further this mission. Together, we can uphold the dignity of those who served and build a future free from war.
